NuBreed Elite Middle School Tryouts (Girls)

NuBreed Elite is competitive travel team for girls 6th-8th grade that want to gain more in-game experience against a higher level of competition.  Tryouts will take place on Sunday February 9th from 6-7 pm.  Our teams will pratice twice a week (Tuesday & Thursday) at our gym in Danville (Junction City) and play in tournaments in and out of the state.  The travel season will most likely go from March through July/August however some national championships (like the Jr. NBA, should we qualify) take place in August & September. 

We will only be having a 7th grade middle school girls team this year and we will allow younger girls (5th & 6th grade) to play up in the 7th grade division. 

THE NUBREED FAMILY:

NuBreed Academy is a family-owned business and therefore we treat everyone who plays/trains with us like family.  We truly care about everyone who walks through our doors.  We want to cultivate an envionment of success for all our kids and families and give them opportunities they might not normally get. We will try to do a special team event each month outside of playing basketball - movie night, Dave & Busters, WNBA games, etc. 

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:

We are in the process of finalizing the schedule & circuits for next year, but we typically will play at minimum two tournaments a month.  Our girls teams will definitely be playing in the Jr. NBA circuit with a chance to attend the Jr. NBA Global Championship.  

COST:

Our goal is to keep team fees as low as possible.  Team fees will cover gym time and tournament entry fees.  We will offer a monthly payment option or you can pay all team fees at once.  There will be a separate charge for reversible jerseys that in the past have cost around $75.  

COMITTMENT:

This is a significant time committment and we want to work to ensure each player has the most positive playing experience possible. We expect players to be on time for practice and to attend all practices and tournaments.  During our travel season, we ask that players exclusively play for NuBreed Elite.  

FUNDRAISING & SERVICE PROJECTS:

We will do a few fundraisers throughout the course of the travel seaons that will help pay for extra gear and any bonus tournaments that we attend.  

We also pride ourselves in giving back to our communites through volunteer work and want to help instill these values in our players.  We will offer optional community service projects like volunteering at a local nursing home or to help prepare meals for senior citizens.

Additional information will be provided on the days of the tryouts at  the parent informational meeting including: travel team costs &  practice/game schedule. We do have a few player scholarships available,  so if finances are an issue, please do not hestitate to inquire about that!
